RYBINSK (Yaroslavl oblast), April 25. /TASS/. The termination of the Kiev military-technical cooperation with Moscow has led to the creation in Russia of a new industry. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting of the Military-industrial Commission.

He said that by 2014 Russia purchased the ship engines for the needs of the defense industry in Ukraine, however, “not our fault, and cooperation broke up, and the possibility of cooperation with our Ukrainian partners disappeared.” “We were forced to engage in import substitution and, frankly, it’s useful for us from a technological point of view, because during this time – from December 2014 and today – we created virtually a new branch of science and a new industry,” said the President, noting that “such competence (creation engine) earlier in Russia was not.”
