Lavrov commented on the possibility of putting peacekeepers in the Donbass
MOSCOW, 25 APR — RIA Novosti. Minsk agreement on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict do not contain provisions on the entry of UN peacekeepers in the Donbass, said Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
“In the Minsk agreements of any peacekeepers we are not talking” he said after talks with OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier.
In the words of Lavrov, “in the Minsk agreements supported the role of the special monitoring mission of the OSCE”.
Earlier the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko during a telephone conversation with U.S. Secretary of state Rex Tillerson suggested to strengthen the consideration of placement in the Donbass UN peacekeeping mission.
