The chief military Prosecutor of Russia has resigned

Chief military Prosecutor Sergei Fridinsky resign by submitting his resignation. It is reported RIA Novosti citing a source in the Federation Council.

“Received a personal statement Fridinsky, in which he asks to resign,” he said, adding that he was asked about retirement on superannuation.

April 25 this question in closed session to discuss the committees on constitutional legislation and on defence and security. The next day at the meeting this matter was considered by the Federation Council.

According to the Basic law of the country the appointment and dismissal of the General Prosecutor and his deputies is managed by the upper house of Parliament.

Sergei Fridinsky was born in 1958 in Kuybyshev. He studied at the military law faculty of the Military Institute. Chief military Prosecutor in 2006.
