Internet Ombudsman Dmitry Marinichev told “Izvestia” that the polling stations will be along with a newsletter to give a unique “token” that will allow you to log in and vote in the electronic system based on the blockchain. “Token” is a one-time code, recorded on any medium. After entering the code it will be possible to vote for selected candidate. Boris Titov noted that the realization of the project electronic voting together with the classic will only be possible after legislative consolidation of the concept of “blockchain”. A similar bill, according to the head of the working group on cryptocurrencies in the state Duma Elina Sidorenko, should be developed and adopted before the end of the autumn session of 2017.

In addition, the business Ombudsman stressed that the registration of the results of voting on the blockchain-the system closes the possibility of manipulation in elections. And it will exclude from the agenda the issue of possible falsification.
Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation Herman Klimenko is sure that today the citizens of Russia are not ready to vote. To online services they still are skeptical.
— If society doesn’t understand how works this system of voting, and trust it will not be. The electorate is conservative. It is not only in our country. The whole world is not yet ready to abandon the current model of voting, — said Klimenko. — Translation of voting electronically will happen, but not soon.
