France will build a medieval castle for the sake of attracting tourists

A team of archaeologists and builders in France is building a castle on projects and technologies XIII century to attract tourists.

The construction of the castle is in a forest in the Department of Yonne (Burgundy) in Eastern France. The project is managed by a group of 70 people. The building used stone, wood, lime and other materials used in the Middle ages. No modern appliances, for example, the cranes in this case are not involved, everything is done manually.

Work started in 1997, is scheduled for completion in 2022. The construction of Guedelon has become the most popular tourist attraction in Yonne. Every year there are hundreds of thousands of tourists.
