MOSCOW, 23 APR — RIA Novosti. North Korea has threatened Australia with nuclear strike if its government would have to follow the political course of the United States against Pyongyang, reports ABC TV channel with reference to the representative North Korean the Ministry of foreign Affairs.
This statement was a response to a recent interview of Minister of foreign Affairs of Australia, Julie Bishop, who said that the nuclear program of North Korea is “a serious threat” to Australia. Bishop did not rule out the probability of an attack on Australia.
The current government blindly and zealously follows the line of the United States. If Australia will continue to persist in following US to isolate and suppress North Korea, it will be a suicidal act of getting into the area of a nuclear strike of the strategic forces of North Korea. The DPRK foreign Ministry
The situation on the Korean Peninsula flared up again early last year, when Pyongyang carried out a nuclear test and later launched a ballistic missile artificial satellite of the Earth. In September 2016, North Korea conducted another nuclear test. In addition, during the year it produced about 20 missile tests.
The sixth of March 2017, the DPRK launched four ballistic missiles that fell into the exclusive economic zone of Japan. The next day, the command of the American contingent in the Republic of Korea has announced that it has begun the deployment of anti-aircraft missile complex THAAD in this country, despite the objections of Russia and China.
The situation around North Korea has worsened with the approach to the Korean Peninsula of a group of American warships led by the aircraft carrier “Carl Vinson”, because after the impact of American cruise missiles on Syria, the media began to actively develop the theme of the possibility of such actions against the DPRK.
