Former Deputy Prime Minister and first Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Bolshakov died in St. Petersburg at the age of 77 years. On Sunday, April 23, reports TASS with reference to Federal North-West medical research centre named after V. A. Almazov, a patient which he has been lately.

They reported that death occurred on the evening of 21 April. “He has repeatedly admitted for treatment, the last time there was a growing heart failure, the disease developed rapidly,” he explained in a medical institution.

The date and place of burial not reported.

Alexey Bolshakov was born on 17 December 1939. In the 70-ies and 80-ies of the 20th century has held senior positions at the Leningrad enterprises from 1988 to 1991 — Leningrad city Executive Committee, later worked at St. Petersburg city hall. In November 1994, when Prime Minister Victor Chernomyrdin, he was appointed zampredpravlenija on cooperation with the CIS countries, and in August 1996, resulting in the formation of the second Cabinet of Viktor Chernomyrdin, the first zampredpravlenija, he was in charge of state management in industry, transport and communications. To work in the Cabinet Bolshakov graduated in March 1997. Among his awards: State prize of the USSR, the order “badge of Honor” and the red banner of Labor
