Bill to revoke citizenship from terrorists finalize

Chairman of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin will perform a co-author of the new, revised version of the bill to revoke the Russian citizenship from convicted terrorists. On Friday, April 21, reports TASS.

The updated document will be submitted to the lower house on April 21.

According to the speaker, their signatures underneath, along with the authors of the first edition (the leaders of all four Duma factions), put Vice-speaker Ivan Melnikov, Irina Yarovaya and Chairman of the state Duma Committee on state construction and legislation Pavel Krasheninnikov.

Volodin said that the new version of the document will be adjusted contradiction of the Constitution.

To revoke the document, it was reported yesterday. Vice-speaker of the state Duma Igor Lebedev has explained this step necessity of adjusting the prescribed regulations in the bill. “The meaning remains the same. But citizenship, according to the document, will not deprive those who got it by right of birth. The rule will affect those who received it later migrants,” he said.

The possible cancellation of decisions on grant of citizenship to persons involved in terrorism, in April, said the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. The press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov explained that this will be done in the outcome of the trial.
