Russia April 20 will submit for a vote of the OPCW offer on the situation in Idlib

The HAGUE, April 19. /Offset. TASS Vitaly Chugin/. Russia April 20 will submit for a vote of the Executive Council of the Organization for the prohibition of chemical weapons (OPCW) proposal on the situation in the Syrian province of Idlib. This was announced on Wednesday, Russia’s permanent representative at the organization of Alexander Shulgin.

on his words, “the vote on the updated proposal will be held April 20 in the second half of the day.” Earlier, Russia together with Iran offered to create a special Commission to investigate the incident with the possible use of chemical weapons in the Syrian province of Idlib. The updated proposal provides that it will be engaged in an existing finding of facts of use of chemical weapons in Syria, but it will have to go to the place of the alleged incident and can be reinforced by national experts from the countries belonging to the OPCW.
