MOSCOW, April 18. /TASS/. General Director of the Center for political information Alexei Mukhin said that the structure led by him discovered direct evidence of US interference in the Russian elections in 2016.
“As colleagues said, the problem here is much broader than an attempt to interfere in the electoral processes of 2016, although my centre found direct traces of this intervention, and they are quite serious and profound,” said Mukhin at the enlarged meeting of the state Duma Committee on information policy. The focus of deputies and experts is the question of how do working in the Russian edition of radio “Voice of America” and “Radio Liberty”, and also to CNN, the legislation of the Russian Federation and is not affected whether they are on the elections in Russia.
In March a proposal to hold a review in relation to the American media in Russia, was made first Deputy Chairman of the Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian integration and relations with compatriots Konstantin Zatulin (“United Russia”). He explained that this will serve as a response to a proposal by the American democratic Senator Jeanne Shaheen, who demanded to conduct an investigation against Russian broadcaster RT. The politician suspects multilingual TV channel, a leading broadcasting on the whole world, including the United States, in violation of us law on registration of foreign agents.
