Pence called for the us base in South Korea, near the border with North Korea

Vice-President Mike Pence arrived at a U.S. military base in South Korea, located near the border with North Korea. Reported by the Associated Press.

Penny had arrived at the base camp Boniface on Monday morning, April 17, to hold a meeting with military leaders and to meet American soldiers. He is in South Korea as part of a ten-day tour of the countries of Asia.

Visit Penny comes amid rising tensions on the Korean Peninsula. Two days before this North Korea unsuccessfully attempted to launch a rocket.

Pence called the move a “provocation”, and President Donald trump said that China is working with the US on “the problem of North Korea.”
