Conviction visiting Syria MEPs indicates lack of interest of certain forces in the conflict in the country, said the Chairman of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin. His words leads to “Interfax” on Wednesday, April 12.
“I consider it unacceptable when our colleagues from European parliaments begin to persecute and blame for the fact that they are a part of the Russian delegation visited Syria in order to understand and familiarize with the situation on the spot”, — said Volodin after a meeting with speaker of the Syrian Parliament All Abbas.
Such attacks are forces that are “not interested in the fight against terrorism,” the MP noted.
He also said that the delegation of the lower house of the Russian Parliament during the year, will visit Syria. He was invited to join representatives of the parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), OSCE parliamentary Assembly and the European Parliament.

Deputies of the state Duma together with representatives of PACE and its Chairman Pedro Agramunt visited Syria on March 20-21. According to TASS, the Chairman of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE Vladimir Aryev said that delegations from other countries allegedly shocked by the visit of Agramunt in Syria.
The head of the security police of Latvia Normunds Mivies said that the visit to Syria MEPs, among whom were Latvian parliamentarians, organized by the Russian, not the Syrian side, according to three Lebanese source.
