In the Russian kindergartens will teach financial literacy

Minister of education and science Olga Vasilyeva said that basic financial literacy will be studied from kindergarten, reports TASS.

“Today, we moved on to our next stage of development of relations with the Central Bank, namely, we have signed an agreement aimed at enhancing financial literacy at all levels of education, from kindergarten to University,” — said Vasiliev, adding that the students will study the discipline in the course of social science.

The Minister added that changes will be made in the Federal state educational standards.

In February 2016, the Deputy Minister of education and science of Russia Natalia Tretiak said that the lessons of social studies of the Russian schoolboys will tell about what the mortgage and credit, as well as how the pension is formed and paid taxes. It was alleged that the students will obtain not only theoretical but also practical knowledge in this field.
