From the Ministry of health demanded by 2025, to increase life expectancy to 76 years

Moscow. April 11. INTERFAX.RU — the Government aims to achieve by 2025 the life expectancy of Russians at least 76 years.

Appropriate instructions posted on the website of the government, gave the health Ministry, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev in pursuance of the decisions of the presidential Council for strategic development and priority projects as of March 21.

“The increase in life expectancy, by 2025, no less than 76 years” is named first among the main targets that should guide the Ministry of health and the Ministry of Finance of Russia at formation, together with interested Federal bodies of Executive power and the Centre of strategic development of priority projects for the main direction of strategic development of the Russian Federation “Health care” (a term until 30 June 2017).

The main targets related to increase the average healthy life expectancy in 2025 to 66 years; reducing infant mortality to 4.5 per 1 thousand live births; reduction of mortality of persons of working age by 2025, up to 380 per 100 thousand population of corresponding age.

Among the indicators — decrease in mortality from diseases of the circulatory system of 500.0 cases per 100 thousand population and the death rate from neoplasms (including malignant) to 185 cases per 100 thousand population.

Medvedev called such targets as reducing the waiting time of the doctor in institutions of primary health care and increase the time of receiving physician of the patient; the increase in the number of doctors, including medical specialists working in primary care; increasing the number of doctors who received training.

In Russia, positive dynamics of the index of life expectancy: 12 years it increased by 6.5 years from 65.4 in 2005 to 71,87 — in 2016.

Meanwhile, the mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin on Tuesday announced that the average life expectancy of Muscovites in 2016 increased to 77.1 years. “Despite some difficulties, health demonstrates some success. In particular, last year, the life expectancy has increased to 77.1 years. This high-quality, good rate, close to the Eastern European countries,” — said Sobyanin at a meeting of the Presidium of the city government.
