MOSCOW, April 12. /TASS/. Basmanny court of Moscow extended until 15 July, the period of house arrest the former head of Ministry of economic development Alexei Ulyukayev, accused of receiving a bribe of $2 million, reports the correspondent of TASS from the courtroom.

“The court decided the petition of the investigation to satisfy, to extend the term of house arrest for three months, until 15 July,” announced the decision of the judge Natalia Dudar.

During the meeting, the consequence insisted on extending the measure of restraint in connection with the need to obtain the results of examinations. In addition, according to the investigator, it is also necessary to interrogate more than 15 witnesses and to indict in the final version.

The lawyers reiterated that they consider house arrest unfounded, but if the measure will be extended, it is requested to allow the ex-Minister walks in the morning and evening for two hours.

He Ulyukayev said that “with the arguments of the court agree.”

The court, having heard positions of the parties, issued a decision banning Ulyukayev walking. However, as reported by the court investigator, the former head of Ministry of economic development allowed to attend treatment and rehabilitation center.

In addition, from the case it became known about prolongation of term of preliminary investigation until August 15.

The speaker protection will appeal against the decision to extend house arrest. TASS said his lawyer Larisa Kashtanova.

“Of course, we will appeal this decision,” said the defender.
