Kiev authorities have offered to take out the capital waste in Chernobyl

Deputy head of Kyiv city state administration (KCSA) Petr Panteleyev suggested to consider the option for the disposal of garbage residues in the Chernobyl exclusion zone.

He said this Sunday, April 9, at a public meeting about the closure of the landfill in the village of Pidhirtsi, reports “UKRINFORM”.

“The idea for the removal of “tails” (the remnants of solid waste after processing — approx. “Of the tape.ru”) in the exclusion zone suggests logically”, — said Panteleev. However, he noted that currently it is prohibited by law.

According to the Deputy head of the KCSA, the city authorities together with the administration of the Chernobyl zone are looking for ways to solve the problem of waste disposal. “You burn the garbage or recycle, there is still a residue that I need somewhere to bury,” — concluded the official.

On 22 March, the mayor of Lviv Andriy Sadovy suggested in Chernobyl national dump. “Lions daily produces 600 tons of waste. Kiev — three thousand tons. We have the Chernobyl zone. Why not make it a back ground for the whole country”, — said the head of the city administration.

Earlier in March, the Garden wrote in social networks that Lviv have nowhere else to take out solid household waste. According to him, the garbage from the city refused to accept the last site, located in the Donetsk region.

In the spring and summer of 2016 in landfills near Lviv, a series of fires. In this regard, the city started to have problems with waste disposal. The mayor of Kiev Vitali Klitschko has agreed to accept part of the debris for a while, but after the closure of the incinerator in the capital repair waste began to secretly deliver all over Ukraine.
