The Alexandrov ensemble gave its first concert in Turkey
The performance in Istanbul opens the tight concert schedule of the foreign artists.
MOSCOW, April 7. /TASS/. Academic song and dance ensemble of Russian army named after A. V. Alexandrov, first performed on the stage of one of the concert halls in Istanbul. About it reported in a press-service of the Ministry of defense of Russia.
Speech by tradition was opened with the song “invincible and legendary”, which was first performed in 1943 in the midst of the great Patriotic war
In addition performed “Kalinka”, “long Road”, “Along the Piterskaya”, “I was Traveling from Berlin” and “darkie”.
Especially for the Turkish audience, the ensemble has performed the Turkish March “Ceddin Deden” and the song “Cankkale Turkusu”. The concert ended with the performance of people’s artist of the USSR Joseph Kobzon, who, to the accompaniment of the ensemble sang “Katyusha” and “Victory Day”.
On Saturday, the ensemble will give a second concert for Turkish viewers. The performance in Istanbul opens the tight concert schedule of the foreign artists. In may the band will embark on a European tour.
64 members of the ensemble, died 25 December 2016 in the crash of a military aircraft Tu-154, was also killed former chief of staff Lieutenant-General Valery Khalilov. The ensemble flew to Syria, to congratulate with the New year, the air group VC Russia on the base Hamim. As a result of the tragedy killed 92 people: military personnel, media representatives, the head of the Fund “Fair aid” Elizaveta Glinka (doctor Liza), the head of the culture Department of defence Ministry Anton Gubankov.
