St. PETERSBURG, APR 6 — RIA Novosti. Arrested in St. Petersburg on suspicion of recruiting terrorists Atabek Rustamov acknowledged that administer groups in social networks, but denied that they were associated with radical Islam.
“A person can be suspected of anything. For me one did not testify,” — said Rustamov reporters after the Oktyabrsky district court took him into custody.
According to the detainee, he created in social networks some “Sunni group”, but the recruitment of terrorists is not engaged.
On the question found in his phone a video the suspect explained that he sent his “one man” but spread this video he did. Judging by the yesterday’s message of the FSB, these video shows the masked men in the typical Muslim garb, telling something against black flags with Arabic script.
Rustamov is one of eight natives of Central Asia who were detained soon after the attack in the St. Petersburg metro on suspicion of recruiting in the banned organization “Dzhebhat EN-Nusra” and “Islamic state”. In the investigation there is no information about a possible connection of the detained with the organization of explosion in the subway. Now the court solves a question on arrest of the brother of the Atabek Rustamov of Azizbek.
