Putin appointed acting head of the Udmurt Republic

The acting head of the Udmurt Republic appointed Secretary of the Public chamber Alexander Brechalov, reports RIA Novosti.

“Putin took Brechalov and in connection with the decision taken earlier impeachment from office in connection with loss of trust of a former head of the Republic Alexander Solovyov suggested Brechalov to take the position of acting head of the Udmurt Republic”, — said Peskov.

Brechalov holds the post of Secretary of the Public chamber in 2014. In addition, he is co-Chairman of the Central headquarters of the popular front and the first Vice-President “Support of Russia”.

Earlier Tuesday, the head of Udmurtia Alexander Solovyov was detained and transferred to Moscow.

The investigative Committee of Russia brought an action against Soloveva criminal case. According to investigators, the head of Udmurtia received bribes totaling 139 million rubles from companies which conduct construction of bridges over the rivers Kama and Bui in city kambarki. Furthermore, Solovyov accused of receiving bribes in the form of shares in the commercial organization, which is estimated at 2.7 million.
