10 myths about healthy eating

According to a survey conducted by the staff of St. Petersburg state University and the Scandinavian Institute of administrative research among residents from 18 to 86 years, most people find it useful home-cooked soup, meat, fish and potatoes. While about 40% of respondents are concerned about the problem of excess weight and 69% are willing to limit themselves in food.

We decided to debunk the myths about healthy eating and find out what is really useful for the body and what is not.

1. Less fat — more good

During dieting, many people try to eliminate from the diets of fat of any origin. However, the body only harmful saturated and TRANS fats: vegetable and animal in moderation is necessary. This applies to both fish and nuts and dairy products.

2. Carbohydrates — the enemy beautiful figure

A similar rule applies to carbohydrates. Complex carbohydrates help in digestion and provide a feeling of satiety for a long time. These include cereals, beans, grains, potatoes and some fruit. 7. Eat after six it is impossible

Another famous myth says that after six have not. However, this rule is true only under the condition that you go to bed at 21:00. If you do no heavy meals three hours before sleep, no harm to health or the figure will not.

8. There is no healthier Breakfast of oatmeal

This is true only under one condition: if you are cooking the porridge of oat flour. Instant oatmeal, usually deprived of the basic nutritional properties.

9. Not more than one Cup of coffee a day

The consumption of several cups of coffee a day reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Complications can occur when consuming more than five cups of this drink.

10. Every day should eat “liquid”

Not every soup is good. Fat broths are meat dangerous for people suffering from problems of the heart, liver and urinary tract. It is enough to have them twice a week.
