The ruling party of Armenia will have the opportunity to form a government
Moscow. April 3. INTERFAX.RU — the Ruling Republican party of Armenia will be able to single-handedly form a government following the results of last Friday’s parliamentary elections, said the Vice-speaker of the Parliament, press-Secretary of the party Eduard Sharmazanov.
“The Republican party has all chances to form the government,” Sharmazanov said at a briefing in the night of Monday.
As of 02:00 Monday (01:00 GMT) the Central election Commission has processed the data of 363 polling stations from 2009.
According to the CEC, the leader of the Republican party 53,20%, in second place led by one of the largest businessmen, the head of the party “prosperous Armenia” Gagik Tsarukyan block “Tsarukyan” — of 26.56%, in the third place, the Armenian revolutionary Federation “Dashnaktsutyun” and 8.04%.
Party “Dashnaktsutyun” is in a coalition with the Republican party.
