According to him, 47.1 thousand suspected FETO — organization based opposition Islamic preacher Fethullah gülen — were arrested.
“Among the detainees 10.7 thousand policemen, 7.6 thousand soldiers, generals, 168, 2.5 thousand judges and prosecutors, 208 officials and 26.1 thousand civilians,” said Soylu. He added that out of the total number of detainees more than 65 thousand people were released, of which 41.5 thousand are under the supervision of law enforcement officers.
