A South Korean ship missing off the coast of Uruguay

Moscow. On 2 April. INTERFAX.RU — a South Korean cargo ship with 24 people aboard was missing in the South Atlantic near the coast of Uruguay, on Sunday, reports the Associated Press.

It is reported that on Board were 16 Filipinos and 8 citizens of South Korea. The ship itself was registered in the Marshall Islands. It left port in Brazil on March 26, and Friday one of the team members sent his employer a text saying that the ship is sinking. After that, the crew stopped communicating.

On Sunday morning, the Agency “Renhap” with reference to local authorities reported the rescue of two members of the team. Found them on the life raft drifting near the Uruguayan coast.
