The Academy has decided not to refuse the services of the auditing company PricewaterhouseCoopers, which fully took the blame for the incident. However, the regulation of its work from next year will change. For the counting of votes and the distribution of the envelopes will now answer not two, but three people, one of them will know the winner in advance, which will enable him to warn the master of ceremonies, if something goes wrong.

Also, backstage will not be allowed to use any gadgets.

PriceWaterhouseCoopers is responsible for the counting of votes at the Oscars since 1934. The result of an internal investigation conducted after the ceremony, held on 26 February, it was revealed that a company employee passed declaring the winner, the actors faye dunaway and Warren Beatty not the envelope.
