The Deputy Director of the Hermitage Novikov sent under house arrest on suspicion of fraud

Moscow. March 29. INTERFAX.RU — Lefortovo court of Moscow sanctioned absentia arrest for two months the Deputy Director of the Hermitage Mikhail Novikov suspected of fraud in especially large size. This was reported by “Interfax” a press-the court Secretary Ekaterina Krasnova.

“The decision of the Lefortovo court of Moscow from March 28 against the Deputy Director of FGB criminal code (Federal state budgetary institution of culture — if) “the State Hermitage” Novikov, Mikhail Ivanovich preventive measure in the form of house arrest for two months, but only until may 23, 2017″, — said Krasnov.

According to her, Novikov is suspected of committing a crime under part 4 of article 159 of the criminal code (fraud committed by a group of persons in especially large size).

The decision may be appealed within three days from the date of issuance, said the spokesman.

In turn, the source of “Interfax” in law enforcement bodies confirmed that the Director of the Department of investment, restoration and construction of culture Artem Novikov was detained on 28 March in the building of the Ministry, but was later released.

The Ministry of culture, in turn, said that Novikov will take part in the Board office.
