Regardie responded to the accusations in the unwillingness of soldiers in Chechnya attack
MOSCOW, 29 Mar — RIA Novosti. Regardie denied media reports about the unavailability of the fighters in Chechnya to repel the attack, staff members acted “bravely and selflessly”, the press service of the North Caucasian district troops of the Ministry.
As reported earlier, six members of Regardie were killed and another three wounded when guerrillas attacked a military unit in Chechnya on the night of 24 March. The national antiterrorist Committee reported that as a result of clashes all six terrorists were killed. It was noted that the injured soldiers of Regardie is not in danger.
“In connection with the publication in some media unverified information about the alleged unwillingness to repel the attacks of militants of the military personnel of military unit of National Guard, located in the village of the Naurskiy, Chechen Republic, reported that this information is untrue”, — stated in the message.
As highlighted, an internal inquiry of the circumstances of the incident revealed that the soldiers acted in this situation “courage and commitment”, in accordance with the official duties and military regulations. “This made it possible to avoid numerous casualties among military personnel and their family members residing on the territory of the military camp”, — noted in a press release.
“Currently, the investigating authorities, which establish all the circumstances of the incident. Therefore, links to some media on some knowledgeable persons in the power structures of the Chechen Republic and the alleged Regardie can not be taken as reliable information”, — reports the Agency.
