Latvian Deputy refused to ride the Elevator to spite Russia

MOSCOW, 28 Mar — RIA Novosti. Latvian Saeima Deputy Imants Paradnieks decided to abandon the use of elevators, not to “support the Russian economy,” writes the Agency Sputnik Latvia.

“I do not use the elevators. Nowhere and never. I don’t do this, as using elevators we feed the Russian economy, partly because we buy energy from them,” said Paradnieks.

The Deputy did not specify, refused any other benefits of civilization in spite of Moscow, for example, on Russian gas.

Paradnieks not the first time attracted the attention of the media rhetoric. Earlier, the MP expressed his indignation at the fact that in the centre of Riga is a cafe with a sign “Leningrad” — politician called him a “Communist burp in Cyrillic in a free country”. In addition, Paradnieks is among the organizers of the March of SS veterans in the Latvian capital.
