According to geologists, the thickness of the gold layer is 67 m, length — about two kilometers. The average content of precious metals in the rocks is 4.52 grams per tonne.

In October 2015 the world gold Council (World Gold Council) published data showing that Russia ranked seventh in the world reserves of the precious metal. The country has 1288 tons of gold. On this indicator Russia still lags behind China (1677 tons) and ahead of Switzerland (1040 tonnes). In the first place — the USA (8133 tonnes), followed by Germany (3381 ton), the third — the international monetary Fund (2814 tons). Less gold in Yemen (1.6 tons).
