Unknown threw into the crowd a smoke bomb at the rally against corruption in St. Petersburg. About this on his page on Twitter reported the correspondent of “echo of Moscow” Arseny Vesnin. According to the journalist, the police not interfering in what is happening.

An unauthorized action takes place on Sunday, March 26, in the campus Martius. The city government denied the organizers of the event on the square in the city centre due to the fact that there was a scheduled meeting for the protection and revival of traditional cultural and family values. They were offered an alternative site — mitrofanevskoe shosse in the South of St. Petersburg. This variant of the organizers was not satisfied, and they, according to “Fontanka”, just joined the demonstrators on the Champ de Mars.

Data on the number of participants vary. “Business Petersburg” gives the figures from 6 to 10 thousand people.

Similar action against corruption on March 26, held in several cities of Russia. Some of them agreed, some not. So, in Moscow for unauthorized rally, which was organized by the oppositionist Alexei Navalny, began at 14:00 on Tverskaya street. Reported mass detentions of participants, including the organizer of the event opposition leader Alexei Navalny. The police offered the demonstrators to move to agreed area in Sokolniki.
