The recognition of the sovereignty of the breakaway Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics is not on the immediate agenda, said the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the party “United Russia” Boris Gryzlov.
“At the moment, so to speak, the question of the recognition of the DNI and the LC is not worth it. We are trying to work on the Minsk agreements”, — quotes his words TASS.
Gryzlov noted that the recognition of the passports of the breakaway republics is temporary and will apply until the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
“That is the right move, but diplomatically,” — said the politician.
Earlier, the press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that Russia does not intend to refuse recognition of the passports of the LC and the DNI. According to him, currently in Moscow can not leave the Donbas civilians without humanitarian assistance.
On 18 February, Russian leader Vladimir Putin signed a decree recognizing the documents of residents of some areas of Donbass is valid on the territory of Russia.
