Anti-corruption rallies were held in major cities of East Russia
Several thousand people staged anti-corruption protests in the cities of the Urals, Siberia and the Far East. Mass detentions were recorded in Vladivostok.
Planned opposition rallies against corruption were held in major cities of Eastern Russia. In some of these actions were inconsistent led to the arrests. Allowed the action took place in Novosibirsk, near the theatre “globe”, according to the municipality, gathered 1,500 people, reports “Interfax”.
According to the publication “the NHS. News” the number of the meeting in Novosibirsk exceeded 2,000 people. Presentations were made by the representative of the unregistered Party of progress Andrey Gladchenko, and on Skype they asked the head of the Fund of struggle against corruption Alexei Navalny.
Action in the form of Hyde Park was held on Freedom square in Barnaul, where, according to local police, there were about 150 people.
In Vladivostok the rally was not sanctioned, however in the center of the city gathered several hundred people, reported IA “data”. More than 20 people were detained. Three hours later they were released.
In Chita the opposition rally held in Revolution square. According to “Submedia” in addition to wanting to Express their opinion about corruption, went there and the local Cossacks with placards against Navalny.
In Irkutsk, according to the publication “Baikal 24”, attended the rally of about 1000 people. The action passed without excesses and conflicts.
In Khabarovsk, according to the newspaper Dvhab, participants of the unauthorized action after the arrest of the organizer, about 200 people marched in the city centre. Some of them were detained by police. At the same time, the centre has sent the activists Nod. Originally they were going to hold the rally, however, as people gathered a little from this idea, they refused.
According to official information of GU Ministry of internal Affairs across Khabarovsk territory, referred to by the Agency TASS, in an unsanctioned opposition rally was attended by 90 people, 12 cases were drawn up.
In Yekaterinburg, as the portal E1, unsanctioned rally on the square of Labor has developed into a procession to the Yeltsin centre. Arrested were three people. The participants pointed out that just walking around the city.
In Chelyabinsk, according to the newspaper 74.ru on an inconsistent rally left more than 1,000 people. The event was held peacefully, however, no arrests has not done. People chanted slogans calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and brought with them rubber & plush yellow duck. After the action on the Scarlet field people moved to the building of Legislative Assembly of the region.
Edition Znak.com indicates that in Chelyabinsk the police was limited to the verification of documents some people with placards, but to detain anyone did not.
