The candidate in presidents of France from the party “national front” marine Le Pen, who arrived in Moscow at the invitation of the state Duma Committee on international Affairs, called for the abolition of anti-Russian black lists of the European Union. On Friday, March 24, RIA Novosti reported.

“I have always advocated the lifting of sanctions that are counterproductive. I think the violation of democratic rights, the prohibition of parliamentarians to talk to each other. I hope I will be able to defend the position that we would cancel the black list, at least on the territory of France,” she said at the meeting with the speaker of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.

The politician added that the sanctions lists still exist is largely due to the influence of Brussels, reports “Interfax”.

“We don’t believe in a diplomacy of threats in diplomacy nor sanctions nor diplomacy of blackmail, which, unfortunately, the EU often applies to the Russian Federation and against its own members,” said Le Pen.

Earlier in the day, the politician said that France and Russia should unite efforts in the struggle against common challenges, in particular with Islamic fundamentalism, reports TASS. In this regard, she said that he regrets that the parliamentarians of the two countries do not have opportunities to meet and discuss security issues.

Blacklist of the European Union — restrictive measure that is effective against certain Russian and Ukrainian individuals and organizations. Currently, the list includes 150 individuals (it is some Russian politicians, military officials, businessmen, representatives from DND and LNR) and 37 organizations. For the first time, sanctions against them were introduced in March 2014.
