Chargé d’affaires of the Russian Federation was summoned to the Turkish foreign Minister due to the death of the Turkish military

Charge d’affaires of Russia in Ankara, Sergey Panov summoned to the foreign Ministry of Turkey. There the diplomat reported serious concern over the death of Turkish soldiers in the shelling from the territory controlled by the Syrian Kurds, said the official representative of Department Hüseyin Muftuoglu. He said that the sniper killed Turkish soldier, acting in the area controlled by the Kurdish party “Democratic Union” (PYD; Ankara considers this terrorist organization).

Speaking about the current Moscow representative office of the Syrian Kurds, Muftuoglu noted that Turkey always explains Russia the danger from PYD. “We expect the steps of Moscow on the closure of the office of the “Democratic Union””, — summed up the diplomat.

Soldiers of the Turkish army, who were on patrol in the border area in the province of Hatay, was killed by a sniper on March 22. In response, the Turkish military opened fire on the Syrian area, where the shooting came from.

The guarantors of the ceasefire declared in Syria on December 29 last year, are Moscow and Ankara. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the intelligence agencies of the two countries have reached a high interaction in the Arab country.
