SBU has banned entry to Ukraine Samoilova

Russia’s representative at “Eurovision” closed entry into the country for 3 years.

Moscow. March 22. INTERFAX.RU — the security Service of Ukraine has banned for 3 years the entry of Russian singer Yulia Samoilova selected to participate in the contest “Eurovision-2017”, informed the Agency “Interfax” the representative of the SBU Elena Gitlyanskaya.

March 17, the secret service reported that he has not made a decision about a possible ban on entry into the country visited the Crimea Samoilova to participate in the song contest, which will be held in may in Kiev.

In the SBU stated that will verify the accuracy of information about possible visits Samoilova on the Peninsula, and then make a decision regarding its admission to Ukrainian territory.

In turn, the Executive Director of “Eurovision” Jon Ola sand said that the issue of participation of the Russian singer has to make the decision of the Ukrainian authorities.

On 20 March it became known that the SBU has prepared a decision on ban on entry Samoilova.

“At this moment, the decision to ban entry is still pending, but open secret: the corresponding document is already prepared,” — said the head of the SBU Basil Gritsak.

Earlier Samoilova was selected to represent Russia at “Eurovision-2017”. It was planned that she will perform with the song “the Flame is Burning”. The girl is wheelchair-bound and has a first group of disability.
