Vice-speaker of the state Duma Irina Yarovaya proposed to amend the bill to protect children from sexual violence the norm about obligatory DNA registration of all accused of pedophilia and implement in their respect life administrative supervision. It is reported TASS with reference to the press service of the politician.
It is reported that the meeting of the working group on drafting the bill, which was announced this proposal, supported by Spring. It is also recommended to introduce criminal liability for harboring pedophiles and to increase the penalty for violence against children, living in the same housing a criminal.
Under current law, the procedure of mandatory DNA registration are required to undergo a citizens convicted for crimes against sexual inviolability and personal liberty.
In may 2015, the state Duma approved the establishment of a registry of pedophiles. Initially it was planned to create a National search center for missing children.
