Putin: Russian-Uzbek relations have reached the level of strategic partnership

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The text of the congratulatory letter published Monday on the Kremlin website.

“Please accept my sincere congratulations on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries. Over the years, the Russian-Uzbek relations have reached the level of strategic partnership” – said in greeting.

Putin noted active and meaningful political dialogue between the two countries and fruitful cooperation in trade-economic, scientific-technical, humanitarian and other fields in solving problems of regional and international agenda.

“I am confident that with joint efforts we will ensure further development of bilateral relations for the benefit of the friendly peoples of Russia and Uzbekistan, in the interests of strengthening peace, security and stability in Central Asia”, – concluded the President.

The Russian leader wished Mirzaeva good health and success, and all citizens of Uzbekistan happiness and prosperity.
