MOSCOW, March 20. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated President of the State Museum of fine arts named after A. S. Pushkin Irina Antonova with the anniversary. The text of the congratulatory letter published Monday on the Kremlin website.

“Multi-faceted, selfless work, your whole life a strong creative ties connected with the famous Pushkin Museum, preservation of our priceless historical, cultural and spiritual heritage,” — said in the text of the message.

Putin stressed that “for years of devoted service to the profession” Antonov made a lot of things that the Museum has become one of the world’s most renowned centers of art, education and enlightenment. “It is encouraging that you are actively working, surprise young colleagues a unique performance and truly a boundless energy”, — concluded the President.

The head of state wished Irina Antonova good health, prosperity and implementation of the plans.

Irina Antonova, marking the 95th birthday of works in the Pushkin Museum. Pushkin was 72 years, 52 of which she was its Director. In 2013 was appointed its President. Not only the Museum, but also a public figure, Antonov since 1992, is an honorary member of the International Council of museums. She honored artist of Russia, academician of the Russian Academy of education, member of the Russian Academy of arts, honorary doctor of the RSUH. Is the winner of the state prize of the Russian Federation for the organization of the “December nights”, the winner of the award “Triumph” and “European prize”.

Awarded the order of October Revolution, Labour red banner, “For merits before Fatherland” (full cavalier of the order), the French order of the Legion of honor (commander) and the order of Arts and letters (commander), as well as the Italian order “For merits before the Italian Republic” (commander).
