The President of Moldova Igor Dodon brought Russian leader Vladimir Putin a few boxes of Moldovan wine. It is reported RIA Novosti on Friday, March 17.

“You have your own collection in Cricova even with the 2002-2003 year, — he stated at the meeting with Putin. — A few dozen bottles from your personal collection brought.”

The journalist of “Komsomolskaya Pravda” Dmitry Smirnov wrote on his Twitter page that the Russian President responded with a joke. “My I brought,” he said.

As notes TASS, in the beginning of the meeting the leader of Moldova gave the Russian President one of the bottles.

The two leaders agreed to discuss ways of resolving the situation in the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldovan Republic (TMR), as well as the issues of economic cooperation. Dodon, in addition, offered to raise the subject “unfortunate case of diplomatic demarche” (in early March, Chisinau withdrew from the Russian Ambassador Dmitry Braghis; it was noted that this was the result of the confrontation, the Moldovan leader with the Cabinet of the country — approx. “Of the tape.ru”).

Earlier on Friday, during the business-conference “Russia — Moldova: strengthening business cooperation” held in Moscow, Igor Dodon announced the beginning of a new phase of cooperation with Russia.

Visit to Russia in January of this year became the first foreign trip of Dodona as President of Moldova. Negotiations on such a high level between Moscow and Chisinau has not been since 2009.
