MOSCOW, 15 Mar — RIA Novosti. Seven people were killed and over 40 injured in the explosion of a car bomb in Central Iraq’s Tikrit, reports local channel Al Sumaria, citing a source in the security service.

Tikrit in Northern Iraq was seized by militants of the terrorist group “Islamic state” in June 2014. The Iraqi government regained control over the city and 31 March 2015.
