The authorities of the Netherlands, Austria and Germany opposed the the activity of Turkish politicians, because I didn’t want the expansion of the influence of Ankara, the head of LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky. His statement was published on the website of the party on Monday, March 13.
“Turkey will hold a referendum on 16 April. Then [President Recep Tayyip] Erdogan, as President, appears very serious powers. (…) Then Turkey can become a threat to the West, because all modes — smooth, all breaks, and Turkey is a strong country”, — stated in the message.

On 11 March, the Dutch authorities refused to let into the country two Turkish Ministers. Turkish officials had planned to hold in some European countries where Turkish citizens, a series of rallies to garner their support ahead of the referendum on the new Constitution.
