The Deputy Director FSIN Valery Maksimenko during an online interview in the editorial “Газеты.Ru” said that the Agency had proposed to build a separate prison for Jews.

“Two years ago we were approached by representatives of Jewish communities in the country to create a colony for the citizens of Jewish nationality,” – said Maksimenko.

According to him, the representatives offered to take all the landscaping, saying that every convict will be provided with work, and his correction will be closely monitored.

“The idea is, in General, can be quite good. But you imagine how it could look, what analogy could occur in response to the news, “FSIN created separate camps for Jews.” Of course, we refused. Our country is multinational, we can’t make a colony on a national basis,” – said the Deputy Director of the Federal penitentiary service.

Earlier it was reported that 200 condemned to life became eligible to apply for PAROLE.
