Erdogan: Russia should lift sanctions against Turkish companies

According to the Turkish leader, countries need to remove obstacles to the development of relations.

Turkish companies must be freed from the restrictive measures from the Russian side. This was stated by the President of the country Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Council of high level cooperation between Russia and Turkey on Friday.

Relations between Russia and Turkey was spoiled after 24 Nov 2015, Turkish armed forces shot down a Russian su-24 bomber. As a result of the incident killed the commander of the vessel Oleg Peshkov, co-driver Konstantin Murakhtin managed to escape.

At the end of June last year, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has sent a message in which he apologized for the incident and expressed interest in improving relations between States. 9 August 2016 to the Turkish leader visited St Petersburg. In addition, the two leaders held a series of telephone conversations.
