The participants of the blockade of trains from Russia in Konotop opened a criminal case

The national police of Ukraine opened a criminal case on the fact of blocking of freight trains from Russia in Konotop. About it reports on Sunday, March 5, the press service of the Ministry.

A criminal case was opened under part 1 of article 279 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (“Blocking of transport communications, and seizure of transport enterprises”). The punishment under this article provides for fines of 50 to 150 untaxed minimums of citizens, or corrective works for the term up to two years, or arrest for up to six months, or restraint of liberty for a term up to three years.

According to police, the activists managed to block two part. One to four minutes, the second for more than an hour.

March 5, the company, Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsya) reported that the situation with the blocking in Konotop freight trains from Russia settled. “In particular, the railroad agreed to provide once a month, the people’s Deputy party of blocking the railway information on the goods transported between Ukraine and Russia. In addition, all trains at the border station Khutor-Mikhaylovskiy are the necessary procedures of border and customs control”, — told in the press service of the company, noting that the activists agreed to leave.

Earlier in the day Ukrainian radicals, which announced the beginning of the blockade of the railway communication with Russia, said that will only stop freight trains. It was noted that they assist the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada.

On the evening of 4 March, the Ukrainian radicals started to block leading to Russia railway track in Konotop, elevating “redoubt”, which received the name of Chancellor Konrad Adenauer.
