At least two people died in an avalanche on the slopes of Cheget in Kabardino-Balkaria. This was announced on Friday, March 3, the Deputy head of the Elbrus highland search and rescue team of EMERCOM of Russia albert Hajiyev, reports “Interfax”.

“Two people were killed in the avalanche on the Northern slope of mount Cheget, another was found alive,” he said. The exact number of victims is now under investigation.

The mountain Cheget is forbidden for skiing, it is noted on the website of the regional Department of the Investigative Committee. In fact the incident started investigation verification. Turns out the circumstances of the incident, appointed a forensic medical examination of dead bodies.
