The investigation asked in absentia arrest ex-Deputy Boronenkov

Moscow. 3 Mar. INTERFAX.RU the Consequence petitions for arrest in absentia of the former Deputy of the state Duma from party of the Communist Denis Boronenkov, accused of fraud, reported “Interfax” press Secretary of the Basmanny court of Moscow Juno Tsarev.

“The Basmanny court received the petition of the investigating authorities of election of a measure of restraint in form of detention in absentia against the accused Boronenkov,” said Tsarev on Friday.

According to her, the petition of the investigating authorities will be considered on Friday.

Boronenkov said earlier about moving to Ukraine.

In Russia Boronenkov became the figurant of criminal case about swindle and declared the Federal wanted list. In December 2016, he received Ukrainian citizenship. First Vice-speaker of the state Duma Ivan Melnikov said that Voronenkov automatically ceased to be a member of the Communist party after he had acquired citizenship of another state.

Later in an interview with Ukrainian media Boronenkov explained the reasons for his departure and criticized the political situation in Russia. It also became known that the ex-MP gave the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s office evidence in the case of treason former President Viktor Yanukovych.

In an interview with the newspaper “Moskovsky Komsomolets” Voronenkov and his wife Maria Maksakova, expelled from the party “United Russia”, said that to return to Russia in the foreseeable future not going.
