The delegation of the Federation Council of Russia in the period from 2 to 5 March, will visit Iran to discuss parliamentary cooperation in the sphere of military-technical cooperation. On Thursday, March 2, RIA Novosti reported.
Senators will be meeting in the Iranian Parliament, foreign Ministry and defense Ministry of the Republic.
The Russian delegation includes first Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on defense and security Yevgeny Serebrennikov, Deputy chairmen of the Committee, muharbek Didigov and Bair Zhamsuev, and a member of the Committee on international Affairs Igor Morozov, said the Agency.
It is planned that the negotiations will also discuss the harmonization of legislation in the sphere of combating terrorism and the plan of peaceful settlement of the conflict in Syria.
14 February it was reported that Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin canceled his working visit to Tehran. According to media reports, the reason for trip cancellation was disclosed by the Iranian side information about the upcoming visit of the official, though Moscow hopes to keep the trip secret.
