Travel firm sunshine.co.uk 2187 interviewed people aged 18 years and older from across the UK in the framework of the research on the holidays and their impact on the relationship, reports the Daily Mail.

It turned out that the 1056 respondents broke up with a partner after the first joint vacation, and the rest managed to save the relationship.

It turned out that most people split up after a holiday in Mexico (21%), Ibiza (17%), Portugal (12%), Cape Verde (9%) and the Canary island of Lanzarote (7%).

Experts suggest that the cause of tears become money issues (typical for expensive Mexico) and frivolous atmosphere of some places (such as Ibiza).

Couples that still happy together, resting in Tenerife (18%), Italy (15%), Cyprus (13%), Mallorca (10%) and mainland Spain (9%).
