Turkish writer Orhan Pamuk was invited to give the Nobel prize known to the authors, reports TASS.
“I want the award was given to those who are known only through literature,” said Pamuk.
Commenting on the award to musician Bob Dylan, Pamuk said that I was very disappointed with the decision of the Nobel Committee. According to Pamuk, there are so many great American writers, worthy of reward, and although Dylan is a remarkable man, the author of songs and poems, he is known not only for his literary talents.
In addition, Pamuk reminded that earlier the prize was awarded to journalist (Svetlana Alexievich. — “Газета.Ru”).
“Of course, the jury has full authority to make controversial decisions,” he said.
The writer also said that Nobel prize changed his life, made him happy. “Yes, I am grateful to the jury, Yes, it motivates people, Yes, it should continue, Yes, I criticize the result of this year”, — he added.
Earlier it was reported that Pamuk received the prize “Yasnaya Polyana” in Moscow. It was also reported that Dylan compared the awarding of the Nobel prize with a flight to the moon.
