Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on holding in St. Petersburg the 137th Assembly of the Interparliamentary Union. The corresponding decree was published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
“Hold 14-18 October 2017 in the city of St.-Petersburg the 137th Assembly of the Interparliamentary Union”, — the document says.
The President also ordered to establish a steering Committee, which will deal with the preparation and holding of the IPU Assembly.
The co-chairs of the Committee appointed the chairmen of the chambers of the Federal Assembly of Russia.
