The Crimean Tatars have said they do not want to leave the Crimea to Ukraine

Crimean Tatars, according to recent polls, do not want to leave the Crimea to Ukraine, about 82 percent would like to stay and live on the Peninsula, RIA Novosti reported with reference to the words of the head of the Federal Agency for the Affairs of nationalities (FADH) Igor Barinov.


 


“According to our research in the Crimea, to answer the question: “If given the opportunity, would you like to move to another area of the Crimea, another region of Russia, to Ukraine, to another country?” 0% of the respondents answered that they would like to move to Ukraine”, — said Barinov.


 


However, he noted that only about ten percent of the Crimean Tatars would like to relocate within the Crimea, and about two percent want to go to Russia.
